After a few shows at which attendees were shown mockups and parts, AMG finally had a working version of its new $2750 Teatro MC cartridge.

The titanium-bodied Teatro incorporates separate coils would with Ohno cast (OCC) mono-crystal high purity oxygen-free copper wire, a special soft magnetic alloy yoke and neodymium magnets. Output is .4mV@5cm/sec. Coil impedance is 12 ohms. A .26mm solid boron cantilever is fitted with a 40x7µm line contract stylus.

The Teatro is expected to ship late 2014. The sound heard from it during a short listen in the Musical Surroundings room was promising!
