Nathan, this is a really well written and helpful review, especially in that it gives a good preview of the info of the book and explains its functionality, beyond what I would have gathered from the book's description.
As an also (relatively) young audiophile, this kind of resource seems invaluable. Unless you know a few experienced audiophiles, where would you find this information but for the book? And unfortunately, when I talk to experienced audiophiles, they often use it as a chance to state their opinions as absolutes, and tell you why your system is insufficient (e.g., digital can never sound good, what you really need is this kind of speaker, those are terrible, cables are directional and other such nonsense). I personally have found the best advice by talking to actual engineers who repair and design gear. Paul is one of those obviously...
