For those who want to collect all of Wilson's recorded work, and are willing to put in the effort, I thought I'd describe Wilson's other recordings not already mentioned.

First the 1973 Another Galaxy jazz album (GTW records 482N9) contains two lengthy free jazz impFrovisations, with Wilson overdubbed on acoustic piano and string bass, which were not included on the Motel Forgotten Lovers release, because of their length and somewhat limited accessibility. If you want these two tracks, you have to find the original (and expensive) vinyl.

There is another two record 7 inch 45 rpm set from 1980 on MCP Records entitled Invasion of Privacy (MCP 1001). It includes the tunes “Debbie Knows” and “You Were The First” as well as versions of “Cindy” and yet another “Chromium Bitch.” This one pops up on eBay occasionally at reasonable prices.

Then there the six tracks Peanut Butter Wolf chose to leave off the commercial Mary… release, which, at this point, one can only obtain if you hunt for one of the original Mary…s that Wilson sold direct from his website. (These probably number under 100.) Two of the deleted tracks are the haunting ballad, “Susquehanna River” and the creepy sci-fi instrumental from the 70's, “I Want To Meet Your Mother.”

As for unreleased stuff? Well, there is yet another album recorded in Todd Rundgren's Bearsville studios with the drummer from Orleans in the late 70's that has never seen the light of day, and Wilson tells me there's other stuff as well. Well, how about it, Peanut Butter Wolf? We Gary Wilson fans want to hear it all! And how about DVD releases of the documentary film or of Wilson's early performance art?
