Classic Album Sundays creator Colleen Murphy hosts a two part BBC Radio 4 special covering the history of turntables.

The first thirty minute program hosted by Murphy covers the turntable's early history from its invention by Emil Berliner to its acceptance in Edwardian society. She talks in part one to John Liffen of the Science Museum and Christopher Proudfoot of the British Phonograph and Gramophone Society as well as to Antiques Roadshow expert Paul Atterbury..

Part two covers, among other topics, "the weird and wonderful world of high-end audio" and features Analogplanet editor Michael Fremer.
