Mikey's Cartridge Comparison Sweepstakes
According to the companies:
The Grado Prestige Gold 1 is a Moving Iron phono cartridge. This patented design is the result from an evolution of designs that were the hallmarks of Grado Lab's Moving Coil patents. The Gold1 deploys a four piece OTL cantilever technology, ultra-high purity long crystal (UHPLC) oxygen free copper wire in the coils and Grado's specially designed elliptical diamond mounted on a brass bushing. The Gold1 model is hand selected and meets higher test specifications. Only 5% of the production run meet these standards and become Gold1 models.
The half-inch standard mount Audo-Technica AT95E phonograph cartridge offers outstanding clarity and detail. Reviewers have rated this affordable, high-performance cartridge as a best buy value. Manufactured to Audio-Technica's renowned quality standards, each cartridge is meticulously assembled with remarkably tight tolerances. The elliptical diamond stylus is designed to track record grooves with high accuracy for outstanding audio reproduction. Includes mounting hardware and stylus guard.

Yes, please. Thank you.
I really, REALLY need a new cartridge!!!
I'm currently using a 10 year old Grado that's going to need replaced soon. The Grado in the review is one of the few on the short list along with a Blue Point Special. Winning this one would make the decision much easier. Keep up the good work. Thanks Michael.
Fingers crossed.
Can you see the real me me me me me me
Met you at the Newport show. After your presentation I checked my cartridge adjustment and glad to say it was where it should be, except that I don't have a microscope to check SRA. Played around with VTA and found lowering the tonearm stem 1/4" improved dynamics, highs are clearer and imaging is far better. My old Empire cartridge sounds better than ever! THANK YOU!
I have just recieved a used copy of Stings "Dream of the Blue Turtles". It played poorly at first but then I spent some time cleaning it and it plays very very well. No snap, crackle and pop.
I would be honored to win either... my SL-1200MK2 could use some love!
Hi,
I would like to enter the sweepstake please
Well fiddle my fetlocks, this cart could hunt without the Hey!
I would love to have either of these as a replacement for my Shure V15 V-MR.
I'd like to set up a fairly inexpensive turntable.
If I win, I'll donate the cartridge to someone who is new to the vinyl world ... and doesn't have the $$$ for a good cartridge.
But they'll wear out some day ...
