...the PE-4040, as shown, or the lower spec'ed PE-1010?
Perpetuum Ebner Spins Again
The brand's look, particularly the side-walled head shells, gave it a distinctly old-fashioned look compared to the others, but it was well-built nonetheless.
The brand is back and again built in Germany's Black Forest region. Watch the video:

I remember that Dual bought PE in the early 70's. Eventually, the PE factory was turning out Dual 721's. While the PE quality was always good, I never thought their tables were any match for the likes of a Dual 1219 or a 1229. I used a 1219 for years which then was replaced by a Linn Sondek LP12. After 8 years of upgrades and (I know this is a modest number Michael) $7980 invested I sold the Linn and bought a 1229. Rebuilt the unit myself, replaced the tonearm with a Grace 747 and never looked back. Great to see someone resurrect a stellar old name and do it justice by NOT manufacturing it in China.
Thank you for such Great coverage of this event.
Norman

The WE Audio Systems website still doesn't list a distributor/importer for the USA.
