I'm sure it'll be expensive.

cartridges come and go. But a classic EMT (like this might be) stays in the groove.
Thank you!, Art Dudley in analog heaven for insisting on the EMT OFD 25 in many articles, up to the day I gave up and bought it and had it refurbished by EMT. Every time I play an old mono with the OFD I am grateful to him up there!
and super jealous of Peter! I'm sure Art is listening right along with your!

EMT never but for pro cartridges I think that was a good idea. In the past, Audio Technica (with the ATN3100, ATN3200, AT3050, AT3070, AT3150, AT3250, AT30E, AT30HE, AT31E, ATUL3, ATUL5, AT312P, AT3070, AT3230), (they also build some for Luxman, Sony, Braun, Dual, Sansui, Yamaha and perhaps others), Azden GM1E,Benz MC-5, Denon DL80, Empire MC-5M, Excel MC100E, Ortofon MC100 & MC200, Pioneer PC-3MC, PC-4MC, PC-5MC, PC-6MC, PC31MC, PC41MC,
Sansui AT-3100S, Satin: M117, M118, 18BX, M5-45, Signet MKN 55e, MKN 66e & Sony VC-7P, VC-8E, XL-MC1 were designed I think only as medium output cartridges with replaceable stylus. I think this was a good idea. Production stopped due to the arrival of the CD.
I've seen on 'turntable needles' that the entire Sony XL-MC series (1 to 3) also were with replacable stylus ; they've got the one for the top of the line X3 for 250 $. On ViRa USA High End (home of famous radial-tangent tonearms and Aidas cartridges, all High End), they recently sold a XL-MC3 SL for only 275$ with headshell.
